Melissa Nealy is a Licensed Certified Professional Midwife in the state of Texas who is deeply committed to serving families seeking a peaceful, personal, and faith-centered approach to pregnancy and birth. She believes the body was beautifully designed for birth and considers it a true honor to support mothers and families during one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives.
Melissa felt called to midwifery many years ago after first witnessing the quiet strength and beauty of physiologic birth. That moment set her on a path of serving families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. Over time, she developed a steady, confident presence and a deep trust in the birth process, grounded in experience and a genuine love for the work she has been called to do.
Since entering full-time community birth work, Melissa has cared for mothers across a wide range of birth experiences. She has developed significant experience supporting families planning VBACs, breech births, twins, and other unique journeys, meeting each situation with calm attentiveness and a strong commitment to safety. Clients often share that they feel deeply supported, heard, and genuinely cared for in her presence. They value the time she takes to build real relationships, her compassion and empathy, and the way she listens carefully, takes their concerns seriously, honors their goals, and walks closely alongside them throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Melissa also offers gentle bodywork support for newborns under her care and brings a strong background in breastfeeding support, helping families feel confident and cared for in the early days after birth. Her approach is deeply personal and relationship-centered, taking time to truly know each family, understand their hopes, and support their decisions with respect and encouragement.
At home, Melissa enjoys homeschooling her children, staying active through aerial silks, and spending time with her family. She is grateful every day for the opportunity to serve at Katy Birth Center and to be welcomed into such sacred moments in the lives of the families she cares for.
