I am excited to return to the Katy Birth Center! My name is Melissa Bates and I’ve been a licensed and certified professional midwife since 2012. My husband, Steven, and I have been married since 1998 and we have 5 children. Our oldest was married in July 2020 and we gained a beautiful daughter-in-law. We have 2 graduates, one currently in nursing school, one in high school and our youngest is in elementary. During times of rest, I find myself refueled when I take some time to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors.
I absolutely love caring for moms & babies and consider myself blessed to do what I’ve always dreamed of! I have a passion for the postpartum period and hope to share what I’ve learned personally and professionally with you.
